Duration: 6 days 5 nights Physical requirements: Must be able to hike up to 6 miles a day and carry a backpack that weighs up to 25 Lbs. Description: On this trek you are required to carry all of your own previsions and must be in fair physical condition. Bring your camera and take advantage of breathtaking mountain scenery and abundant wildlife. Hike up to 6 miles a day in mountainous terrain, camp near alpine lakes, mountain waterfalls and in the crater of a dormant volcano. Eat MREs and purify your own water as you learn to live off the land and survive in this rugged, untamed wilderness. You will receive survival training that includes how to start a fire without matches, find shelter, identify edible plants and, avoid dangerous encounters with wildlife. Learn to identify and treat life threatening conditions and injuries such as hypothermia, dehydration,frostbite, fractures and many other techniques that are essential to survival.
